Default Shimming scope bases

Has anyone ever had to shim bases? I have run out of verticle adjustment on a set of Talley lightweight 1 piece rings for a remington 700 action.

The burris signature zee rings work great in this instance as they have plastic inserts with extra elevation built in to them so no need to shim.

It’s not as common as it used to be but sometimes it needs to be done . Go buy a cheap set of feeler gauges and you can test how much shimming needs to done. Then you can cut the feeler gauge as your shim material
