As far as I know, the range shut down in September 2015 and still have not found a replacement location? Even their website: http://calgaryarchers.org/ doesn't indicate anything about a new location/range.

Too bad, I liked that range an awful lot too....

if you look on their facebook page it has the new info, no exact location posted yet because they don't want people out there without insurance helping. here is a photo of the planned layout. I agree though, the old range was super convenient and awesome layout!

We can thank nenshi and council for shutting down the old one to make....a dog park. I'm still spitting mad over that one.

On a side note the foothills club has been shooting at millarville racetrack, a nice spot close (ish) to town

You're refering to the archery range that used to be on Glenmore, by Elbow Valley Estates ?

Yeah, like all those rich bastards out there need more room to walk their mutts. They live on full acre (or larger) lots, with lots of green-space surrounding the subdivisions...

And there lots of work going on around that site and the river, that house that was neighbors with the range is now completely gone. It looks more lie flood mitigation than making a dog-park.

What a bunch of clowns anyhow, Calgary City Council.

Most of the area is being used for the twinning of the highway and an overpass/off ramp. The small area that is left over will be the dog park. Once the road work is done the area would be to small for an Archery range.

Ah well therein lies the problem.... I'm not on Facebook. Never have been, never will be.....

I would like to think that a website dedicated to the club would be more personal and no chance of being shut down by the "politically correctness" of Facebook.

The club's webpage hasn't been updated in a really long time

New range is 15 mins or so NW of Cochrane. I do not have any details, but have heard rumours may be up and running by August? There is also a range south of Carstairs called Bighorn Bowhunters and Archers if your looking to shoot sooner and membership is $100 -
