Default SAWT tournaments

How many walleye fishermen entering SAWT Tournaments this year, Looks very attractive money wise in 2010, $27,200.00 payout per tournament on a full field, plus day money, plus big fish. A lot of pocket money up for grabs.
Last year 3 of the 4 tournaments filled up, I played safe an got my entry money in early, don,t want to miss out on the fun.

Me and bob will be out in his ranger for all 4 stops. Should be a good season.

Mustang you should enter all 4 and just get out to the other 2 a few times before hand and check them out. If you want you can hop in my boat and we can try to find some fish on st. mary and ridge if you would like to ahead of time on a weekend or 2. I know ridge half decent but know nothing about st. mary. It always good to see new guys on the trail and nice to meet people that have the same interests as you. I think you will be disappointed if you don't enter the other 2 stops after fishing with everyone and realising how much fun it is.

I hear ya. But with a 6 month pregnant wife and having to help my parents on the farm in may during seeding (going to be early this year) not sure if I can muster the time. A stag on the weekend of Milk and then 2 weeks before the wife is due for St. marys, I'll have to play it by ear.

Oh I know there is some walleye in st. mary. Have caught some nice fish out of that place but I want to find some new spots so I have a whole bag full of tricks for the summer.

If anyone needs a knowledgeable partner for one of these events, I'm available.

The SAWT is an excellent competitive walleye fishing trail. Yes, it is competitive but there's alot of incredible people that are more than willing to help you out. They may not share all their secrets but you will definitely become a much better walleye fisherman after fishing a few tournaments. The SAWT has come a long way in recent years after alot of hard work for many years from alot of great folks. I wouldn't be surprised if we have a waiting list in the very near future for these events. Last year we averaged almost 75 boats which would have been a full field average. I would encourage those interested to get your money in soon or it may be too late as the cut off is strictly set at 80 boats. Hope to see you there.

The 2 biggest walleye that were caught on the trail last year, the largest caught in Travers, second largest in Chin, they where in the 11.50 lb. range, not sure of exact pounds, still some big ass walleye,
Still in all the one that finds the honey hole will be rewarded very well.
