Default Bait Ban Question

I am spending the weekend near Bragg Creek and plan to hit a few little lakes and ponds in the area. I am not sure if the ice is off yet so I am bringing ice fishing gear and spin fishing gear. Some of the lakes listed have a bait ban so what should I use for ice fishing if I cannot use bait?

Rapala's, spoons, jigs, wooly buggers, flies, etc.

A fish will still bite on standard lures when I am ice fishing? That seems strange to me.

They sure will. Not always as readily but they will still absolutely hit a lure with no bait.

If you're ice fishing for trout try dropping a couple different bead head flies down the hole and see what happens
