Default Shore fishing in St. Mary's reservoir?

Can you please help me with any good spots for shore fishing at St. Mary's?
What kind of lure works best there?
Any help would be great! Heading to Waterton Springs campgrounds for the long weekend.
Thank you!
Nate

bumpity bump. Anybody know any good shore fishing spots on St Mary's? I'm hopefully going to get a tinner soon so i'd like to go exploring some of the southern reservoirs mainly for some walleye... Is there a boat launch on St Mary's, and if so, where?
(Sorry not meaning to hijack..)
thanks!

Hi
I used to go there when I was kid. I believe the south side of the dam and west would be good if you can still get in there. There was a road along the side of the lake at that time. It drops off pretty good and I used to see a lot of pike along the shore. I wasn't fishing ,I was hunting rabbits and gophers. I watched about a 4 ft pike gobble up 1/2 dozen baby mallards in a bout 20 minutes one spring. She went into the water with her brood when I came along and that old pike piked off a couple of duckings in about 2 minutes. I then realized she figured I was bigger threat than the pike so I move way back from the shore so she could get back in but by that time she was out so far that by the time she got back to shore she lost most of her brood. Felt pretty bad about that but it was interesting to see that big pike operate.
