Default Who's heading out this week, & for what?

Might try for some whites at Gull mid week or so. Smoker is still warm from 6lbs beef jerky. Need to smoke some white fish now.

thinking about going out tomorrow myself. Switching to a night shift schedule so not getting up early kind of limits my range and daylight hours. Probably wait til next set off unless I can't sleep tomorrow morning.

Spend the weekend sleeping on Newell, praying for clear skies at night. Close to a new moon so the milky way should be good. Hope to ice some whites with a little luck.

Crawling Friday. Sat and Sun on Newell to fill walleye tags and fish for BIG sharks. Might even try Carolside just to say i did on Monday. Be nice to hear how blood is from people, was slow for a good couple weeks i heard, we only caught ten one day and then 8 the next.

I probably won't be there. Heading to Gull this morning and won't be back in time.

They would kick me out for bringing jerky in as no one would want any wings. LOL

Went to Gull. Saw only one white, he took 3 swipes at the hook and I missed him. My bad ! Most other people on the lake only saw one or two if any at all. Very slow.

Just wondering how Badger was? I am thinking about heading there this weekend? Is the ice drivable yet?

Went to PCR on Tuesday and got skunked (not even a bite) in about 3hrs near boat launch trying different depths, mostly just using the old standby smelt. Tried Ghost Reservoir today for 3hrs or so with the same story-tried for Lakers with buzz bomb, jig heads with smelt, rattlin rappala (worth as shot since nothing else was working) and a few others combos but not a bite. Tried about 30-60 feet mid-day.

Oh well got to be out at least.

Ice is about 21" where we were. Could not make out the bottom in 10 fow. Very cloudy this year. Probably why the whites are slow, they can't see the hook from a distance.

A few of us going to try our luck at Cold Lake....see if I can figure out Lakers! Did horrible last year...only caught 1. It was cold and windy though, so I didn't really move, plus my lure had electrical tape on it to hold it together...not one of my finer moments, but hey, I was a newb!
