Default My 5 days up north!

Well I'm back from my trip up north and it was a big disappointment! We could have caught all the jack we wanted but only caught one miserable little 8" perch the whole time! LOL! We saw lots on camera but they just weren't biting. We tried lots of different things but all that would happen was Jack would come along and scare them away! And here I thought my 8 perch in 2 days last time at Skeleton was not great! Hmmm... .. But it was beautiful and we still had a great time playing around with the new Fish phone.

I'm going to head out to Blood Indian on Saturday and give the Jaw Jacker a try.

Blood Indian is about 120km NE of Brooks. It's a small lake stocked with Rainbow Trout. Always good numbers, the fish have been above average in size this year.

You betcha. I have some in a thread somewhere. Hopefully I'll catch the monster I've seen swimming around my hole each visit!

It's also just a little south of Youngstown if your coming from that direction, and it's not that small for a trout stocked lake. Lots of rainbows and now I hear carp !!

Small lake, big pond, haha. Yep, there are definitely Prussian Carp! I haven't caught any or seen any alive, but have found quite a few in the stomachs of trout.

Blood was pretty good today, as usual. Iced 7 between a buddy and I. We saw a 4-5lb hog checking out Gnugen's spoons but it wouldn't bite. No pics, sorry. Giving it a try again tomorrow.
