Default Anyone fish PCR this weekend.

If you were at PCR this weekend was wondering about ice conditions. How thick and how much snow on the ice. Was thinking of a trip Wednesday when things warm up a bit. Driving on I would think be iffy yet but if no or not much snow can back the shack on to the ice and just roll it to the secret fishing location. Can anyone who was down there please let me know. If anyone wants to meet up and the trip goes down we will be in the black shack. Need one of those AO flags we talked about.

Was there on Friday and ice was 11 inches thick in front of boat launch. Lots of action later in the day. Could probably drive on but didn't need to because we were not far from the shore. Good luck out there.

Default This week

Dean
Unfortunately I can;t get another day off this week. 3 days is the most I can do this week. I will be going most weeks once or twice for the rest of the winter so maybe we can hook up another day.

So far I have tentative plans for myself and a buddy to hitch a ride with Jeff. We have a 4 man ice cube and kick ass heater. Hope to see some of you on Wednesday.

I'm in as well, I have a brand new Frabill 6 man tent with lots of extra room, but no heater. Shouldn't need it on Wednesday though. I also will be breaking in the new camera.

Anyone else want to carpool from Calgary?

Default I'm ready

Just came in from prepping everything in the shack. Nice and toasty working in minus 30 out there. Probably will be leaving my place just after lunch to get out there for 2 ish. Should give some walleye and pike time and ready for prime burbot fishing from sundown and on.

If you have no heater you may want to see if you can bring a lantern or better idea I have a spare coleman infared if you bring some 1 lb bottles you can use it if you like. Daytime should be ok but will cool off as soon as the sun starts going down. remember the best fishing is sundown and a couple hours after that.

I was out on Saturday. Weather was -29 and the wind was howling!! We had a great day of fishing on the south side of the bridge. Caught and released 20 burbs and two walleyes. Big buddy heater was cranking all day. Ice was about a foot near the bridge. There was no snow as the wind has blown it clean.
