Try the river, the walleye and jack fishing can be really good there...

As having just moved FROM Drumheller,.. go across the main bridge (2nd st W), turn on North Dinosaure Trail, go out past the hospital to 26th st NW,
turn left, go all wat to river.. park. set up.. fish under train bridge.. good for walleye ( you can KEEP em) and the odd pike..
if you want to try further out of town, go west on S. Railway Ave which turns into S. Dinosaur Tr., wich is HW 575-west, follow untill you get to HW 836-North, take that till, (will pass HW 27, keep going north)..will get to HW538( Ghost Pine Creek, also very good fishing) the HW doglegs East to 836 North again, go north, will come to HW 585-North take that North, to the Tolman Bridge.. there ya Be.. BIG walleye, pike. whitefish ect ect.. DOWMSTREEM of the bridge can be KEPT..
Check Regs.. and...

check this out..www.drumhellermail.com/index.php?...fishing GOOD!!

If your looking for lakes closeby to Drumheller, there's a few trout ponds... Anderson Dam, Michichi Dam, and Severn Res? Pike fishing at Carolside (about an hour), Pike and Walleye at Crawling Valley (also an hour), the river is still pretty muddy but will likely be clearing up this week. Find a beaver dam and cast into it for pike

Has anyone been out to drumheller fishing the RDR lately? I was out there this past weekend and the flow was pretty fast. Also, the water was really murky. Wonder if the condition has change yet? Any info? Thanks

I just came back from a canoe trip from Red Deer to Drumheller. The river is running fast and silty. I did manage to get a little bit of fishing time in, with a few goldeye caught. Didn't really put in the time for sauger/pike, as the water seemed too dirty. If you're planning a trip out there, don't forget bug spray!

Good Fishin',
