Myself and a few other hunters from AO were warned a few years ago
that letting our dogs swim in Frank Lake not a good idea ....
This story likely makes that true . I know a few people from on here
Hunt there .....

The article in the Western Wheel mentions 2012. If memory serves me right, this has also occured more than once and before 2012. Have you ever tried to eat a duck from there?......gross

80g, what a joke . The owner lost his beer money for the weekend. How bout 8 million per day it was unreported. All going to wildlife habitat projects.

Can't wait to see what (nothing) happens when they admit the athabasca is doomed.

Thanks for the warning Winch. Cross that spot off the list.

Those hunters and dogs have a wonderful halo about them

yup the birds taste gross and your dog glows when it gets out of the water best not risk it and stay away lol

Having built and worked on/in water treatment plants my question would be why was he altering the results and under who's directive. There is more to this than what the WW was able to dig up and I hope Cargill steps up, pays the fine and takes action to correct it. This affects way more than ducks.

I agree with you Evil69. And of course Cargill will pay the fine, it's a mere 80G to them. They kill what? 700 heads per shift? The fine should be a lot heavier than that, and they should be closely scrutinized to insure that they comply. But then, if you walk through the Cargill facility and try to engage anyone in English, from the kill floor, to the processing area, to maintenance and then to the water treatment plant, you'll feel as though you've landed on another planet. And I'm sure that when anyone is questioned as to why and how this happened, you get the deer in the head lights look and a response that nor you or I can make sense out of. Cargill is in for the profit, that is all. To claim that they are a stuart of the land and water is utter BS. They need to be taken to task for sure, but what politician has the balls to undertake that????
