Camping around Edmonton

Hey all!

I'm a first time poster! I've been lurking around the forums but finally decided to register and post after moving to Alberta this month.

I have a quick question. I want to do some camping but was wondering what the rules were on just wandering into the bush and pitching a tent? I know it varies from province to province. I'm living in Edmonton and have a car.

I would go to a camp site but at the moment just starting out here in Alberta I'm flat broke!

Any advice would be great. I would just go out and do it but the thought of getting busted for illegal camping or the like being new here frightens me.

believe it or not there is camping off White mud drive along white mud creek, it's like your very far outside the city but yet your right in it.

That would be amazing. And a good start for someone like me brand new to the city!

Any insight into local rules? Are you legally allowed to camp there? What about fire rules?
