As an Oil fan I have to wonder why you'd say anything like this. You gotta be either oblivious to the standings or a die hard Flame hater.

Oilers are loosing some key games. Too many goals against. Frustration in oiler camp. Play through it. They will still make playoffs. Not sure who said they will win cup. They won't this year. Playoff bound, is achievable. Stamp it.

Oil have had bad luck of running into some seriously hot goalies lately. McDavid / Draisaitl / Maroon line make good chance after good chance yet can't seems like the goalie just shuts the door on 'em.

Awesome, Calgary doubled up Edmonton on the shot clock, hits, faceoffs, and takeaways, the Oilers had more giveaways, yet the Flames are losing 2-0.

Oilers got too much offensive talent.

Just got in and I thought that I'd catch the third period. 4-0 Oilers.....Wondering if it's even worth watching the third period or will it put me to sleep?

There is a chance it will be interesting, likely not on the score board though.

The Oil have 6 goals with only 19 shots on the flames. It's been a snoozer. Thankfully Tito Ortiz is fighting Chael Sonnen in Bellator over on Spike tonight...

Default Skirmish of Alberta ....

I'm not a fan of either but I like good close hockey . That wasn't it ,
But I do remember the AO battle about whether Johnny should go
Or stay ...I think we know the answer to that . He is leading in the
lethargy department.
I could watch that McDavid anytime , what a set of wheels . Lucic
though he is no McSorley is having a pretty easy time . You have to
Be able to catch someone to hit them . There is nothing worse
Than playing mediocre bad hockey and not being in line for those
top draft picks . Flames lay down before it's too late.

I am 100% Oiler Fan , and other than scoring opportune goals, I thought the flames, were better than us, they really seem to cycle good..even when it was 4-0 it seem Calgary just kept coming at them, I really enjoyed the game..thought Johnny played well, when he turned it on he blew past us,,he is a cross checking machine.

What's up with the Flames, they look like a team that has lost their confidence?

Playing the Habs right now, down 4-0 halfway through the third, and looking all messed up!

When you look at the alternative facts the Flames soundly bested the oilers.

Not in my opinion it wasn't, unless Larsson, Klefbom, Pouliot, Letestu, Slepyshev, Caggiula, Benning, and Kassian, who had a combined 12 points, are considered "offensive talent". What I consider "offensive talent", McDavid, RNH, Draisaitl, Lucic, Sekera, Maroon, had 4.

....... I'm not sure what to say. Good for Calgary on keeping the "offensive talent" to 4 ??

On the up side at least you've got to be getting some room on the wagon by now. The Oil band wagon has been noticeably fuller than for the last 10 years.

I happened to be in Calgary to watch the near-blowout game at a local pub with a small gang. We were that loud and obnoxious group. We got a lot of dirty looks cheering as loud as we did. It was pretty good.

And the Toronto Sports Network still has 3-4 articles on the Leafs to one on the Oilers...

I've been an Oil fan long enough to not stamp anything lol. That said they only have to go .500 on the last 30 games and it should be a lock.

It sounds surreal but the real battle for them is for first in the west. Haven't seen this for a decade. Feels great being an Oiler fan again ..... was tough for a lot of years.

In all reality they're a hurt tender away from a serious crash and burn. Need a solid backup.

Oh they only acknowledge that there's other teams in Canada under protest. I'm glad they are doing well but they aren't the miracle team TO thinks they are.
