Default Chipped ferrule (sleeve over)

One of my rods' male ferrule (I think?) got chipped last year and it chipped even more recently (I must be too rough with my gear haha). Does anyone know how to fix it or if there's anywhere that'll help my fix it? I'm getting concerned that the piece might snap and fall off while landing a bigger fish.
Thanks

I think you might be hooped. If the rod is a sage, TFO, Echo, or one of the other big names you might able just to get a new section on warranty.
Otherwise, you could try taking off any old epoxy and thread windings around the ferrule and redoing the windings with new thread; wrapping it down over the chipped out area then putting a good measure of epoxy over the new thread windings.

I'm not sure if this will help things, but if can't get the rod warrantied you may be limited in your options.

I would just fish with it untill it goes south totally. If the epoxy is cracked my guess is that the blank may have an issue there. If the blank has an issue nothing will save it. If its just the epoxy then who cares. Epoxy and thread dont hold the rod together

I've got a possible solution but not sure what part is affected. Why don't you post a picture, or PM me a picture so can have a better idea of the problem.

As was said above, if the blank is cracked - the rod is on it's way out. You can try to save it by removing the epoxy and wraps, re-wrapping and epoxying it. I've done this with good results.

Another idea is to epoxy the two halves together for a permanent bond. Bulkier to transport but should fix the problem.

That should alway be the first thing to do.
