Hi Folks looking for taxidermist suggestions preferably within a couple hours of Edmonton? Like most would like nice work with out breaking the bank.

High Point Taxidermy in Rimbey.

He’s excellent. Priced right. Small outfit. Low volume high quality.

Sugar Creek Taxidermy out of Red Deer. Marco is great to deal with.

Might be a little far East for you but Curtis from Silver Willow Taxidermy is awesome too.

Whitetail Taxidermy about a mile north of New Sarepta has very good pricing.

Darren and Carolyn did my deer and they probably have the fastest turn around time in the province.

Hey a guy in vimy named denis, he's really good and super cheap you could do a deer mount for about 350 to 400. 7809613115

Default Cost of taxidermy (rough estimate).

Hey guys/girls, how much should I roughly expect to pay for for an antlered deer head mount (full mount, not European mount)? Thanks!

I'm guessing from a qualified taxidermist anywhere from 700 to 2000 haven't had one done in about 10 years.

It depends on what you want and the quality you are looking for. Last time I looked it was about 700-1000 for a normal shoulder mount. 1000-1300 for a wall pedestal. And if you want habitat work that would be extra. But it all depends on the taxidermist. Your best bet would be to phone around and get some quotes. You might find some cheaper

Interesting. Yes, I have been doing some leg work and getting a few quotes. I know I don’t want a European (as mentioned), I didn’t know there were so many options. Yes, I figure that you get what you pay for. Good information, thanks!

I am guessing much hasn’t changed from what I’ve been reading, so, still relevant! I think I’d avoid the $700 dollar guy lol. Thanks so much!

Marco at Sugarcreek is a true professional and just an overall stand up guy. His work is amazing and he’s extremely knowledgeable and has always taken the time to help me out and answer any questions I’ve had over the years. Won’t take my stuff anywhere else.
