Default Blind Solitude

Here we are gang.
The night before the “home opener”

It’ll be myself in the stand where all the deer seem to get shot.
And
My daughter in the stand I sat last November 1. She’s got a moose draw this year, and there’s far more moose traffic at that property, than the other stand.

Good luck to all, and be safe!

I'm about to head out to a good piece of ground I have hunted over the years with a special moose calf tag , but spotted a buck in a field about the size of one I shot last year , so you never know!
Good luck everyone and hunt safely!

3 bucks(all small) and 2 more girlies

Was treated to a display of rampant teenage sexuality, as all 3 bucks took a turn.

Looks like you’re in a good location!

I have from the 10-31 off to fill my bull moose in 234, I’m pretty excited to get out and shoot my first bull. Good luck to you and your daughter!

That's a great one to harvest. Nice placement of the stand the deer always pause before they jump the fence. Wish I could be out there but gotta take the work this year. Good luck everyone. Play safe.

That’s a great buck!

Lots of little guys on the field today; but it was still great.

Can’t wait to see more pics of deer on the ground!

Final tally for last night on my stand was:
4 smallish bucks and 2 does.
My daughter saw 3 does and a nice up and comer buck(125ish)

We are set to play it again this morning, then my daughter has to head home to do laundry, and grocery shopping type stuff.
I’ll do the evening sit, then it’s back to the salt mine for a week, then it’s vacation time till months end.

This deer wasn’t taken from the stand I sit, it was taken from another stab an hour away, which over looks a huge hay field.

7:10 was the calculated time for legal light, no chancey Mr. Whelen, more like 7:20ish.

Awesome thread Dick. Again I was treated with successful evening sitting in the blind with Hot Paws. We’re about an hour South if Dicks blinds. A few years back Dick284 took a great buck out of this very stand. Not sure why but seems like every hunt with her is an eventful and entertaining sit. I guess that’s why I married her. Lol. Maybe one of the reasons. .
I’ll start a thread for her with MOST of the pics and details. Don’t want to hijack this great thread.
Happy hunting everyone and remember that this is what it’s all about. Trophies come in all sizes.
