This is Gracie, our most recent adoptee...she is chow/pit cross and was used as a bait dog and severely abused. We adopted her because the shelter couldn't find a home for her and her time was up. (softies I know). She is covered in scars and you can see what they think are acid burns on her neck in this pic. She loves my wife, and doesn't really trust me, but she is slowly coming around.

This Bernie (short for Bernadette)
It is a hard life when you are a puppy
But it would be easier if these slippers were larger... sheep skin and rabbit fur are comfortable.
Here she is now that she is a big dog
She is very happy that I folded my white-tail tag.
And here she is protecting her domain

My dog, Ash, in North Dakota a couple weeks ago. Got him three years ago today, and he's getting to be a pretty good bird dog.
I lost exact track this year, but he's likely at 300 hunting retrieves.

Great thread, thanks for starting it.
Regards,
Dave.
First one is Cinch our Red Heeler cattle dog. She is so smart I am sure the only thing that keeps her from actually driving that tractor is her legs are too short to reach the clutch.
Next one is our PB German Shepherd Fara at 2 years old.
Then Tigger our sort of rescue dog. About a year ago our neighbour was given the bad news from his doctor and he asked us if we would take his little dog. A wonderful affectionate little Shi Tzu, we would adopt another in heartbeat.
Next is our rescue Yellow lab Trash with our GS Fara in the background. Softest, warmest most loving lab I have ever met. And yet she was tough enough to survive an entire winter in the bush north of the Athabasca river all by herself before we got her. She is gone now and we miss her.
Then comes our daughters dog Molly. She is just as cute in real life as she looks in the picture.
Last is our other daughters dog Charlie finishing off the last dirtbag that dared to enter his property. Chocolates are amazing, they will retrieve all day and eat dirtbags all night.
