Default Do BS'ers really believe what they claim?

Saw this gem today....thought it was quite funny someone would claim to have shot the same elk with 4 different broadheads.

Equate that to filling your quiver or magazine full without a single projectile being exactly the same LOL.

Oh they do, or they believe what people tell them anyway.

You wouldn't believe how many bear pics get posted on Facebook that people claim are 19-22 inches, that would have a real hard time making 16 or 17 inches. Guess nobody told them the skull needed to have the hide removed and all the meat taken off !!! lmao 😂

Impressive. 4 arrows and no bone contact.
One word about sums it up.
"Yikes".
Psssst. Put the bow away.

Hmmmm.... My first thought was.... I really need to practice faster reloads....

4 shots within 20 yards? ANY animal I've seen shot with a bow do not hang around for another 3 shots (center mass yet!) after the first shot. They will *usually* take off in flight for more than 20 yards.

Now this is totally believable if said hunter has the ultimate stalking skills and got within the 45 yards on the next 3 shots over the course of ? number of hours? Bawahahaha..... But "all shots center mass single lung"? Did the Elk circle his tree stand for 4 shots? That's the only way in my mind you could "center mass single lung" shoot an Elk.....

BS I say! Enough that I need rubber boots.

Thanks for the laugh Lefty... I hope you called him out on that crap...

I honestly believe that some don't even realize that they are lying.

It can be as simple as embellishing a story bit by bit while retelling it over and over - and eventually it's as true as if it really happened.

And some just can't tell the difference between truth and a lie.

I know a guy - I could literally steer his stories by prompting him. He's hard working, dependable, and has a huge heart - but you can't believe any of his stories.

That is no different that the people posting about getting consistent 1/4 moa groups with their factory rifle and factory loads, or the guy why consistent shoots those tiny groups offhand at 500 yards. A person just has to use some common sense to sort the fact from the fiction.

I am still waiting for our minister of defense to claim that he actually made the recent record sniper kill.

Default How do you do?

A few people seem to confuse fact with opinion. Some more often than others.
At least they are consistent.

just another example of deceivers seeking believers.
its a sales and marketing tactic the seller is looking to sell the product of his own concoction. no one here can verify the testimonial.

3 different broadheads during a hunt...that sounds like the making of fantastic consistency and don't even mention feeding an animal 4 arrows within 45 yards.

Well hopefully he finds one broadhead that works and only requires a single shot.

Well, you know what they say about fishing stories. Is it a coincidence that both fishing and archery incorporate a stick and a string?

Yup, met people like that, can't call them pathological liers because they honestly believe the crap they spout.

I know a fellow that was pure BS. Everything from killing a cougar with a Bowie Knife to being called in to do mercenary work in foreign countries.
He worked in a Calgary Sporting Good store. I took him aside once to call BS.
I told him I know his father and I have known him since he was a baby and I have heard from his father and uncle of his most successful hunts and asked him how he could lay such BS on customers? I just out asked, You know everything is BS. Right? He replied yes but I like myself more that way.

In spite of his pure BS and his bad hygiene which was worse than the BS, some perfectly normal appearing customers really liked him and were repeat.

I think I know that guy. He also shot four moose in a matter of under a minute with his .270 at 300 yards, out in Newf houndland, filling his brother's tag, his cousin's tag, and his mum's tag. Because he was a better shot then they were. True story. I almost fell to my knees to worship when he disclosed this amazing feat. Almost.

It is the type of exaggeration that I would expect but this BSer is Calgary born and raised ex US Navy Seal that lost his eye Bull riding and has no brother and no longer a mother and hates 270 because he is a 7mm Rem Sako Left hand guy. He once saved a guide's life when he stepped in front of a charging cougar and slayed the beast with his trusty Bowie. When one of his colleges challenged him he brought his Taiwan made Bowie to work as proof.

This guy would look me right in the eye with his one good eye and tell me about the bull riding accident when he should know that I know. Like I said, he likes himself better as a BSer! That's sad. I think that some events in his life such as how he really lost his eye and the loss of his mother have lowered his self esteem so he feels better with BS. He is a good shot and has killed game.

I have noticed that many BS when the truth would have been a better story.

I do not think Social Media helps much.

BTW my bser knows a story where his father and uncle and grand father, grandmother and great grandfather and a couple other guys (all white) took down 3 moose in quick order way under 100 yards. His grandfather and great grandfather were 270 guys. He wasn't there but may have made the story his own.
