Nice boat, nice Shiba! They are great dogs, mine (chai) is a hunting machine.
I'm sure you'll both enjoy being part of the "balloon boat" nation...lol.

Great looking boat, I know you will have many hours of fun with it.

2 things to watch for . 1 the dogs nails, make sure he is not bouncing around too much.

The other is the sun shade, I had one too but took it off after the first few times out, kept getting in the way every time I had a fish on.

What motor you planning on running?

I was thinking about a 55lbs Endura max. Might swing towards a small gas job thou. I just made a thread on that if you have any input!

Wink

I've had both and remain with the trolling motor and it's only a 40lb minn traxxis. It really comes down to what matters most to you. Do you fish fairly close to shore most the time? Is weight important? Do you want to be able to out run a storm if need be? Lol how many people do you usually have on board? Ect. For me my back is screwed I couldn't keep taking the motor on and off and in and out of storage with my back hurting, and I also found majority of my fishing to not be any more than 150 ft of shore and having to only push around 375lbs on average I parted ways with the outboard. It was only a small old 15 hp seahorse. Same size as the 9.9. Although I still am going to one day get another for big big lakes. INflatables are AWESOME!
