License copy?
I just picked up my fishing license and was surprised to see it printed on a piece of regular paper from a printer. This doesn't seem to be durable enough to last for a year in a wallet. Is it acceptable to scan and print spare copies? or have it as a photo on the cell phone as a backup in case the original is damaged/lost etc ?

Yes you can, I buy my licenses online and you have to print them yourself, I usually print a few copies one for my truck, my fly fishing shoulder bag and copies for my wallet.

You should always have a paper copy with you, a cell phone picture may suffice as a backup but I wouldn't rely on it solely.

I used to have some liquid you brushed on maps to waterproof them, should work good for licenses too. I printed 10 copies so I can lose them everywhere

Licences
I usually print off a few. I keep a pic on my phone as well. Haven't been challenged on it but a CO friend of mine says he wouldn't have an issue with it
