Hi! I am currently enrolled in a UT Bachelor of Science, majoring in biology at my local college! I am interested in transferring to Simon Fraser University or University of Northern British Columbia to complete my program and am wondering if anyone on here as had any experience with either of these institutions?
SFU used to have the reputation as the most left-leaning university in the country. I imagine that their biology program will be pretty global warming and anti-hunting focused. Nice location though, Burnaby Mountain in Vancouver.
Your premise may be correct Oko. In college my biology prof was an SFU grad from the late sixties. He participated in the riots up there. He (and his wife) were definately deep in the hippie culture. He informed us that if you scraped the inner bark from a red osier dogwood, dried and smoked it, you would get high. I believe him, I'm pretty sure he proved it out.
Not sure who this was directed too, but I'll answer in case it was at me.
I did B.Sc. Natural Resource Mgmt (Forestry).
