Default .270 150 grain handload?

Can somebody suggest a good load for .270 150 grain bullets. I will be starting with Nosler Accubonds. I usually like using H4831 in my previous .270’s. Just not sure how much. With the 130 grainers, I’ll normally shoot around 61grains. Thanks.

Not that I would ever load bullets that heavy in a 270win.

I'm running 59 grains of RL26 behind a 150 grain Nosler Accubond LR, my rifle seems to like this combo so far...

With the heavier bullet, 7828 or 7977 worked very well for me.

I have been using 53gr of IMR4350 in my Model 70 win for more than 40 years. This load chrono's at 2840fps average in my gun. I had tried several powders back them but the IMR5350 gave me the most consistent results along with near factor MV. Most of the bullets in these loads were Speer Grand Slams but I ended up using the same load for Noslers and Hornadys over the years with the same results. The primers were always magnums. I prefer using the most accurate load for hunting and did not try for maximize velocity. My notes indicated that I would start to see primer pressure indications in test loads above 54 gr. I have thought about trying out some of the newer powders and seeing what works best again but somehow I just never find the time.

I’ve loaded 150’s and 160 noslers. Both shot well out of my tikka.

Default 150 sst, imr 4350

I've had huge success with this combination. (150 SST, IMR4350). I shoot out of a Savage (package) hunter 111 with a Bushnell elite 3200 scope. 22" barrel. average speed is 2780 fps. It's not screaming fast but it's right in the moderate range and super accurate. I can't bring myself to mess with this load. I have to admit it out shoots my much more expensive guns. If you'd like the recipe just DM me.

Why such a heavy bullet? Must be plummeting to the ground after 300.

How long is the barrel? Why such a heavy bullet? Out of my Rem. Titanium with a 22" barrel I use 54.6 gr. of IMR 4350 with a 130 gr. Nosler Accubond with a Federal 210 primer. With this combo I can cover my group with a dime at 100 yrd. With my Kimber Mountain Ascent with a 24" barrel I'm using 54 gr. of IMR 4350 with pretty much the same results. You get a 150 gr. bullet out there at 300+ yrd. and the bullet would forget what its doing.

I’m using 56gr IMR4831 and they shoot just a tick over half inch MOA. And that’s out of a Savage

The 150grn in 270 I push it at 2950 fps and 350 it's stiil get's 2450fps plus plus 1780 fps with the sst or vld or the lrab Only 14 inches low at 350 and the only other that may stay's close to it is the 140 accubond at 3050 fps.but at 350 it' falls behind a touch, then the higher bc kicks and leaves them all behind.

Years ago I never went with more nthan 130,140,but these new bullets make then 270 150 grns shine. ,at 300 something like 2400 fps and 1750 fps,so it ain't lost or or falling any more than the low bc .It's very good 400 to 450 bullet with plenty behind it.

I’m also running RL-26 & a 150gr ABLR.
Check Alliants website for load data.
The velocity possible with this powder is impressive!!

Default powders

Most .270's are not picky about powders mine also likes Win760,RE:22 and IMR 4350 A good bush load for kicking WT's out of their beds was the old 160gr KKSP reloads of course.
