Default Badger water level???

Hey there. Was planning on heading to badger on Saturday. Heard that water levels are low? But not a reliable source. Anybody have any info? Is the boat launch OK?

Water levels were ok 4 weeks ago. Boat launch is never recommended there.

Oh really? I've never been there. Whats wrong with the launch? My boat is only 14' but fiberglass with 50 hp. Would that be an issue getting in there?

Last time I was there I used it for a 14ft lund with 25hp. Wasn't great but doable. Take a drive and look for yourself it's the only way for you to be sure.
I won't take my crestliner there.

From the launch to lake is very shallow, you need to know where your going, it's taken a many of props out...

I was there 2 weeks ago, and every weekend before that. The boat ramp sucks if you don't have 4wd however the last week I went the ramp (mud) dried up nicely and you didn't need it.

The lake itself I think is normal, obviously stick to the little channel or you'll shoal your self on a weed bed until you get in the open.

All the above and the gravel road trying to beat the heck out of your boat.

Took my old Crestliner there once and that was enough for me. I now have a small pond boat that I can throw in the back of the truck just for places like Badger and all the trout ponds.

Thanks for the info guys! Still can't decide if I want to try it or not. I know my truck would be OK if its muddy just not sure how shallow it would be for my boat.
