Default Kicker plate for welded aluminum boat

Any hints on where in Calgary I could get a kicker plate fabricated/installed for an 8 hp outboard on a 16 ' welded aluminum boat?

Thanks

Not from Calgary, so I can't help, but I'm curious as to why you can't just clamp it or bolt it to the transom?

I'd try a aluminum / river boat dealer to see who might do this type of work (and understand the construction and support required to do it right) ..... I'm sure they can offer a few leads.

If you don't have any luck finding a local fabricator, thunderjet sells a few different variations:

Do not understand why you would need a plate on an aluminum unless you have a ladder on the port side and if that is the case you should move it because the kicker has to be on the port side for overall boat balance.

Guess I should have posted a picture but the transom has space for the main but not the kicker. This is 16 foot deep v with a windshield, front storage, seats etc., not a standard "tinny". If I could bolt it/hang it on the transom I would.....not what I was asking ---- Thanks

A picture would help immensely. Guaranteed there'll be someone on that has come up against the same problem.
