Thanks for all the comments. The taxidermy bill shouldn't be too steep. My Dad used to do taxidermy all winter when he was farming full time. He is semi retired now and he does all the detail work on the mounts that my brothers and I want to do.

Congrats Chet on one heck of a season. I'm sure we'll see you at the CFGA scoring day.
I hope so. Do you have the date for that one Duk Dog? I haven't seen anything yet.

Any rough scores on those deer?
AB Whitetail is 153 gross green

Mule Deer is 193 gross green

SK Whitetail is 170 gross green

They all take a bit of a beating on the net scores, as many deer do, due to lack of symetry, non-typ points, broken points etc. None will make "the book" but as much as I love measuring animals, I certainly don't live and die by the scores of the animals I get.

Thanks Chet....I'm with you when it comes to "score"....those are impressive deer no matter what the tape says......Your sask deer really reminded me of a 4X4 i shot a couple years ago....all he needed was a set of decent G4's and perhaps would have made book....that deer of yours looks like he was going to make it....

GREAT pic's, GREAT deer, GREAT season....

I just got the Nov/Dec CFGA newsletter and it says "Horn Measure - We will have an updated time and place for the January horn measure at the AGM and in an update/newsletter at the end of December."

Thanks guys.

Hey NDN, by the looks of your Avatar, you must have been successful hunting Elk again this year. If so, congrats! I must have missed your post on that one.

Chet - Unreal!! Congratulations on a trio of magnificent animals. There is a lot of character in all the antlers you took. Eat well! Regards, Mike
