Montreal Lawsuit against McDonald's and Happy Meals
"...Montreal lawyer Joey Zukran sought authorization for the lawsuit on behalf of a father who, according to court documents, spent hundreds of dollars on the meals during regular visits to the fast-food restaurant with his children...
...Mr. Zukran is seeking an injunction to end the practice of targeting children with toys. He will also ask for compensation amounting to the full cost of the toys and meals, as well as punitive damages for a practice that has been going on for 25 years... "

Ridiculous to blame someone else for your lack of parental guidance.
This county (and the United States) needs to implement counter suits (fines) for those people who waste my tax payer money on court proceedings related to silly frivolous lawsuits.
Maybe this would make people think a minute before wasting everyone's time if it hits them right back in the pocketbook for being stupid, greedy and conniving. This lawsuit is fraud.

We have judges wasting their time and our money on this crap while rapists and murderer's are getting off because their cases don't make it to court quick enough. Something is sadly wrong with the system. I seem to remember a time when we made fun of the American legal system and their ambulance chasing ways. Now we do the same.

I totally disagree with the lawsuit but McDonads is not innocent!!
Take a look at their suger content in the kids meals... it’s all higher to attract kids. You think a burger is a burger ...not !

Hypothetical question...... how many of you proud men, if given an opportunity for a gaurenteed win, only have to set foot in a courtroom once, for a payout of 5 million, (this is equivalent to 3 dollars for McDonald’s) would say no? How many would brush their morals aside for an hour in a courtroom for 5 million from the biggest company in the industry? Could you live with yourself? Could you live with yourself with 5 mill in the pocket?

If you are a scumbag with no conscience or sense of honor apparently so. Then again McDonalds and other fast food joints have no conscience or honor when they market and sell garbage to children. I would sentence the plaintiff, lawyers from both sides and board of directors of McD's to a 30 year diet of nothing but McNuggets and fries.

These come up every few years, I remember similar ones from Europe and the USA.
It's sad that these morons get a platform for their nonsense and that time and resources get wasted in courts for that. Just like that idiot that couldn't order a Sprite in French on the AC flight.
If anything, these people should be sued for feeding their kids such crap and endangering their health

In a perfect world a judge would read both the Lawyer and the Plaintiff the riot act and send them a bill to cover court costs to discourage this nonsense.
But it's far from a perfect world we live in. You know who will probably have him over for lunch in Ottawa to talk about the horrible "struggle" this idiot has had to endure
