Default Sheep Hunting Outfitters

Hey everyone,

Starting to look into the 2009 season, hopefully, and want to make a sheep hunt my priority. Unfortunately just left the great province of AB so hopes of doing it on a resident tag are out the window for the time being anyhow. Seems to be a few sheep guys on the site, so figured yous might have experience with outfitters. Any info on either reputable big horn or dall sheep outfitters would be greatly appreciated. Also would like to hear of anyones goat experiences in BC??? Thanks

Pete McMahon and Peter Witlow both run good bighorn camps as does Lorne Hindbo.

As for Dall sheep, I'd look seriously at Arctic Red (Kelley Haugen) in the NWT.

Lots of great outfitters around and I'm sure other know of more.

If he is, I hope he doesn't work with him.

I asked this before, probably for the same reason as you.I would never have any dealings with Lloyd Mcmahon after his convictions under the criminal act and game act. From what I hear, they are brothers. As to whether they are in any way associated in business,I have no idea.

You can't pick your family.
I see Lloyd is still associated with APOS. http://www.apos.ab.ca/pages/corporate.htm What's wrong with their heads? I guess money talks.

I can't understand how APOS can justify allowing him to be a member after multiple convictions under the game act,and a criminal conviction as well, all associated with outfitting.

I have to echo everyone's sentiment about McMahon. I really don't understand how he can be a member of the APOS. Hinbo, and Whitlow are both super people and I could recomend either without hesitation. Glenn Wilsie is another sheep outfitter I would recomend contacting.

Is there any APOS members on this site that could enlighten us?
