Don't know what you mean by big boat. But the launch at Badger is not very friendly.

If you do not have a 4X4 do not even attempt to launch. It is more a make shift launch and can be difficult.

If you are talking 18 ft and bigger do not even think about Badger.

I dropped my 21' boat in a few times last year. Agree a 4x4 would be a very wise idea. Also be very careful of the shallows surrounding the launch.

I've launched 16.5 Lund there many times without a 4x4 BUT water levels are critical. The cement slabs are not even and slant to the West. You can bottom out your trailer on the axel hanger bolts getting out. Other issue is your trailer doesn't sit level and makes it difficult to load your boat with out power loading. Many boaters having to do this has blown out the bottom at the base which caused the uneven loading aqrea.

My two cent worth.

Take your crestliner, In the mornings its calm till about 10am then the winds pick up all day till 6PM. Then the winds die down.
