I rented a 12' john with a 9.9 on that lake last year (first time trying to fish bass). The winds picked up in that valley and I almost subed the damn thing, My arms were super sore by the time I got back from trying to hold it down... took me over 45 mins to get that little boat to the dock, It had 2" of water in the bottom when I got it back there..... Hahaha F*%K lake windermere and their bass. looking back it was extremly funny thou, maybe I'll try again some day with a bigger boat : ) Oh and I was told upon retun that I would have been the third person to capsize that boat in the same year. Watch the clouds boys lol

How much was the boat rental, bushjunkie? I'm looking to plan a trip probably near the end of May. Either to Invermere or Osoyoos areas. That's not decided yet.

Yea, I've read that too. If I drive from GP to the interior, even Van city isn't much farther. Haha. Worst case, I hold off til June and do a bit more research

You could camp at Redstreak in Radium... only 15kms from Invermere and about 20km from the town of Windermere

Once you try it, you'll want to catch them everyday!! And you'll see what all the hype is about! I may attempt to fish them on the fly rod this year.
