Default Hagerty classic car insurance?

Does anyone insure their cars through Hagerty? It looks like they offer a pretty flexible package when it comes to classic cars. They also offer for modified and you aren't limited to just car shows and club meets.

Had my 55 chevrod insured through them, pretty simple sent them a dozen photos, worked out value, approx kms per summer and it was easy, and cheap!

Nice ride!

Did you have to get an inspection before being insured? Shouldn't be an issue with my C3 but I have always wondered if a street rod would be a hassle to get insured.

No inspection. A couple emails back and forth was about it. Ill see if i have the contact info.... been a while. A quick call to them would get the ball rolling.

Western General in Calgary has one, Golden Oldies Insurance. Under $200 a year for my Jimmy full coverage. They will give you their estimate on value or you can have it appraised and they will honor that value. No inspection required.

Very simple, no inspections, no appraisals, don't even need to go through a broker.

Go on their website, fill in all the appropriate info send the email. They will get back to you with a quote. Accept the quote, pay by CC and you'll have your pink card quickly.

The one vehicle I know they won't insure are campers....I.E vintage VW campers.

I'm just curious about "you don't need an inspection" phrase that has been mentioned? Is there something wrong about the inspection requirement? Just curious

I'd assume they don't want to pay for the inspection, not that they are leery the vehicle proving unsafe in some way.

I don't think so but for me, I currently have the interior apart and am working on my c3. I would like to get insurance on it ASAP because you never know with fire, theft ect. Also, some aftermarket parts, even though completely safe can cause problems at an inspection. I heard of one guy having issues with oversized, cross drilled brake rotors???
