I burned old invoices past the 7 year requirements for storage in my 4 diameter steel culvert I have half buried on my land. It will eat 2 diameter rotten logs all day long but thick bundles of paper not so much. What it didn't blow 50 up while still burning, it left untouched after days of smouldering. I had to break up anything thicker than a few inches. Still the method I use for destroying evidence but I have to feed it a folder at a time and make sure the lid is on but it beats a shredder.

Top secret subway docs...can't leak out to the competition....must destroy...little barrel in the back yard and burn them slowly, enjoy a fire with the smell of subs burning....neighbours might pour over to see what's up.

Best advice use a shredding company. I know it is expensive, but you will receive a certificate of destruction from them. This will serve as proof of destruction for any legal purposes you may encounter. Been administrating records for long.
