Push Putin, push while you can.

Heard that John Kerry is flying to meet with Santa as we speak. He'll negotiate a deal with Russia allowing Santa to fly once a year while being escorted by two migs. No worries...

Was reading up on that a couple days ago. Could become, "interesting". I don't think Putin is stupid (or prepared) enough to enter a NATO country (yet), but some of the arctic has always been sort of disputed. (by those who have no claim to any of it)

No doubt some, "leaders" will want to include everyone in the conversation and others will want to provide warm clothing.

What's needed is leaders to say:

I'm sure John Kerry would offer to help carry Santa's sack for him.

What's next? - Alaska?

But jokes aside, from what I understood, they are not claiming the territory to be annexed to Russia but rather the rights to explore the natural resources. I know, I know, we can use those too - apparently, the arctica contains the most amount of oil and gas on a planet that hasn't been tapped into yet.
At the same time, Denmark also were trying to claim this area along with a half a dozen of other countries.
I would rather see Canada going after exploration rights than Russia, but I don't think we have enough resources to do that. But I might be wrong....
