Default Scorpion optics ??

Wondering if they hold their zero and stand up to the elements? Thinking about a scope for my 17 hmr. Will be for fun mostly. Lots of advertising from them and sponsered people saying how great they are. How about joe hunter and real world experiences. Thanks

I'd go Nikon rimfires myself. And did. Twice. No regrets.

One 3-9 and one 4-12. Both excellent scopes under $200.

I went with a 4x14x42 Mueller a few years ago. I had never used one before but lots of talk about them on Rimfire Central in the USA. Ordered from a distributor in Manitoba, not sure if their still around though. It was about 200 bucks I think. It has been an accurate, reliable scope.

In the lower price range, I like Nikon optics.

My personal rule, if they advertise it on one of the cheap 20 second clips with Helgie on Wild Tv - stay away from it.

I have actually looked through several Scorpion scopes, and I believe that the only people that use them on Wild TV are the people whose programs they sponsor. And I wonder about any product that I only see being used in the field on Wild TV.

Was interested in the 2-7x40 for my 102 build. Was on sale for $120, but, I saw Leupold had release their new budget line of scopes and had a 2-7x33 in there. I'm going to pinch my pennies and get a quality American-made scope.
