Fishing Consolation Lakes

Has anyone tried fishing Consolation Lakes up from Morraine Lake in the last few years? (do they still have the warning about travelling in groups of 6 or more warning at the trail head?) Would love to go and fly fish for some cuthroat up there and am wondering if it is as good as people say it was 20 years ago?
