They must wait until all the hunts are complete before the samples and heads are picked up for testing.
Finally received my Negative CWD results today for my cow moose shot on day two of the PW season at Camp Wainwright. Last year there was 5 CWD positive moose from Camp Wainwright (4 bulls and 1 cow). It will be very interesting to see if there were any positive moose from this year's hunt. I sure hope not. Would be a very tough decision to throw out 100 + pounds of delicious moose meat.

It’s tough to throw out the packaged meat we had a meeting last night to figure something out nothing was agreed on.
what are others doing with it.
You could donate it to the wolf dog place west of cochrane

Cut the loins out and the rest of it is stripped in 5 lb bags - waiting to be ground or thrown. Looks like it is all thrown this year.

We were one of the positives. Unfortunately the butcher mixed 3 of our mooses together. 1 Positive ruined 3 moose. My buddies through their meat out and I fed it to my very old dog. He ate well and we knew he would be long gone before he could get cwd.

Still ****ed about that butchers bill That really added insult to injury. Our group is still waiting for results on 2 fawns and a calf and cow moose. This year we got everything deboned and bagged. That way we wont get nailed for a $1800 bill or whatever it was last year.

Not a good idea! CWD is spread to soil and plants via carcass decomposition. That’s why hunters are asked to landfill everything they are able to.
