I also seen him at Pipestone a couple years ago.
He sure put on a good talk. One of the best $10 I spent.
I would love to see him again, but according to his schedual I don't see him stopping in Canada this year.

the fellas at the wild elk federation are usually willing to travel to put on a calling talk/seminar. i dont know if they are the greatest callers to ever do it or the greatest seminar presenters, but they are good guys that are fun to yak with.

Rocky shot a monster bear with me a few weeks ago. i will give him a call here right now and see if he is coming up this year, hes had some changes recently adding jim brennan to his pro staff and getting rid of Mr. horn.
Hes now tyed in with Kristi Tytus on her tv show now, so lots of stuff to come for rocky.

Right on Pat. You had some pretty big name clients this year.
I had supper with the Troubridge's a few days after they were done hunting with you.

Let us know what you hear from Rockie.

Got to see him at Pipestone as well, and had a real good chat with him after. Hell of a nice guy, would love to go out on an elk hunt with him sometime, although the chances of that happening are slim to none...lol

I was there last year too and did I ever learn a lot. I had to leave early though because I was "working".

I would love to go again. I think a guy could learn a bunch of new stuff no matter how many times he went.

One thing that I liked about Rocky, besides the fact that he is OK on a bugle, is that he is quite humble. The best in the world, but doesn't act like it.

Well it seems that his presentation was well liked. It may be too late for this year but I will see if we can round him up for a talk next year.
I will have a chat with Jim about it and between Pipestone Creek and the Millet F&G I am sure we can line something up.

Well I will be there he was great at pipstone, and could only learn more, gunslinger you should see if he would be interested in doing one of his full day seminars, that would be the altimate, sure had sucess calling them in from what I have allready learnt from him, and ya seams like a great person aswell, we should see how many people would be interested but I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem filling a full day seminar.

Yea for sure. i will be talking to him alot here this fall as were going to hook up for elk, The biggest thing is logistics , last year Dan had him up here for a 8 hour elk college, right from early season to late season to the hard rut and it was a blast, i learnt alot in that day, he gave away a ton of stuff too.

Would be great if rock did a few of them around central alberta, pipestone is a great location for that.

Rocky is a well know Elk call expert. He's the guy who has the patent on plate plate or dome type elk reeds. I think he has harvested 40 or so bull elk in a row with archery equipment. He sells calls under the brand Bugling Bull.
