Default Hi-way 88 travelers??

How many hours does it take to travel from Slave Lake to Red Earth Creek on Hi-way 88? I have heard 2 hours but according to my Alberta map it looks like it is only 154 kms or 1 1/2 hours. BEL

I guess if you could average 154 km/ hr, from the get-go, you could do it in I hr..
if time is of the essence...

Haven't driven it, but I'd say it's likely that you can't drive it at 102 km/h.
At 80 km/h, 154 km would be close to 2 hours.

Default Its the weather, not the speed!!!

This is a REAL FUN STRETCH OF ROAD in winter. Expect patches of black ice before the PP at Slave. Expect heavy truck traffic as it is a route to High Leave her. Also expect alot of drifting in around Utikima. Give it at least 2 hours, Or more if the weather gods frown.

I spent one winter plowing snow on 88 from Slave Lake to about km90?? It can be a fun stretch of road with many variable weather conditions. Good dry roads in one spot and freezing rain further up. Give your self the 2 hours to get there.
