We headed out to the line to take down the last of our lynx sets and ended up with one more cat. Forgot to take a pic.
Had some good luck at the wolf bait pile, a 97lb wolf, nice looking fur.

Nice wolf. I am Jealous.
I am still trying to snare yotes. Set a snare at 5:00pm and next day caught this nice looking fellow.

Things have been a bit slow but hopefully it will pick up on my bait. Not rubbed at all very nice fellow. Only got a bit of time left.
Good luck to you guys.

so my partners enthusiasm has been waning(my fault, been pushing to hard).

my first job was working for the fur buyer. sold my first furs to him. got me hooked on trapping at an early age. he was in the area this morning and i hadn't seen him since '89. so i pulled the kid from school and let him sell a little fur. with a couple months still to go. hoping some cash in hand will get him excited again.

was a great time!! great to see him again. losing money, never felt so good.

Awesome Brag. I started trapping when I was 8 I think. I had to walk about a mile and a half to the pond to check my traps after school. I enjoyed it so much my grades in school didn't do so well and the teacher was kind enough to allow me to write a huge essay on the trapping industry and how it started and till todays time. I had no problem with that and made it through Elementary school lol I learned more lessons I feel trapping at times than I have in real life. I am sure your kid is getting an education in real life as well with the way you raise him. Good to see you getting him out there and learning new talents. School is important for sure but there are great lessons in the outdoors.

My last snared coyote from a couple of weeks ago was a big, healthy male. I hadn't noticed such a well defined ridge of hair from the back of the head right to the base of the tail on the others that I caught earlier in the season. I figure that this one would make for some really nice trim on a parka hood.

Another good line check, hauled a load of bait out to the trapline and brought back 3 wolves, all black. Alot of snow up here this year.
It is a fairly large pack, we have taken 6 so far, and still alot more...
