Default Ice thickness on Lesser slave

Hello all....going to lesser slave in a week and a half for a three day fish trip, was just curious how thick the ice is, as I will probably be driving my truck to the cabins. thanks in advance.

they had 2 feet by new years so you should be alright. just follow old tracks. you should never break new trail at slave lake if you are new to the area. lots of methane pockets cause open water in the middle of winter.

Has anyone been out recently or going out in the next couple of days. Heading out on Saturday and was wondering if they got a bunch of snow up there or if access to the lake is still possible. Hoping to drive on so would like to know. Heading out to the narrows.

Thanks in advance.

Shouldn't have any problem if using a 4x4 . There has been a little snow but still getting on the lake with the pickup. Most people here are willing to help if you happen to get stuck. I pulled out three 2 wheel drive pickups this season.

I was out Sunday on the Northshore and the strong winds had made some pretty decent drifts across the ice road....up to 2-3 feet high in places. Again, with a 4x4 you should probably be good.
