I’ve got one with the 4.6 and extracab. Good solid truck, bad on fuel and a bit underpowered. Tough to get any better than 14 l/100km. Far superior paint quality than the dodge I had before. I’m sure this truck will make 400k plus easily.

I had a similar old v-10. You can’t go wrong with most vehicles compared to it.

I’m sure the Toyota would be a fine option, I’m more of a Chevy guy. The new version of the 5.3 has been reliable and strong, not to mention the fuel economy has gotten a lot better.

Default 16 Crewmax 5.7.

Second owner. First owner looked after it very well.

Paid 7k more when I bought it compared to comparably equipped Fords/chevs/Dodges. Seems to still be worth more than that comparatively now.

Little hard on fuel.
I average 16.2 /100 km over a year. Probably 1/3 highway and 2/3 city.

143000 km I have had it since 90000km

Not a squeak or rattle in it. Runs and drives like new.
Everything works in it. Perfectly.

Had to go in for a rear bumper and paint after getting rear ended. Got a new Dodge for a rental. 10000km on it. Took it back. Was a squeaky sloppy pile of junk.

Got a 22 Tundra rental instead. Had been ridden hard. Was still way better than the Dodge not impressed with the hybrid turbo v6 setup. Got 13.6 / 100 same driving.

Was so happy to get mine back.
I would buy another 5.7 Tundra in a heart beat.

I keep my stuff a long time and look after it. I have had all of the big 3 manufacturers trucks over time. They were all junk compared to the Tundra.
Worn out at 200km. Electrical gremlins. Wheel bearings. Transmission in the Ford. Rear axles seals in all of them.

Never again. I can get gas in 10 minutes every where and not be walking. The rest of the junk will be in the shop for weeks at a time.

I can buy gas.

Other than throwing a K&N filter in I have replaced 1 signal light bulb. I have had it 3 years now.

It is like driving a new truck.

My neighbour has 3 Tundras in the family. Still often drives the oldest one (2011) because he likes getting in and driving it. He is has happily with all 3 of his as I am with mine.

Paint is still good and zero rust.

PM if you have questions.

Buy it. Best made truck since they first came out. I have a ford (5.0) work vehicle and my personal chev 5.3 and they are not comparable for quality compared to the Toyota.
