Hey that’s me in one of your picks. Fishing was poor today. I don’t usually get skunked to the point I can say I didn’t even get a hit or see a Fish. Hopefully things improve when the ice is gone. And they hold back a little water. I think the snow pack has got them a little nervous this spring.

How long were you there for? I was quite surprised it wasn't packed there, with the amount of traffic on the road. When I chatted with F&W, She mentioned that they would be behind a few weeks in raising the water levels. So unless your hand launching, it looks like it could be 3 weeks at least before anything of size can make it on the lake once the ice is off.

It was stocked last April 30 according to the Stocking report. Was there last Monday to check the K lakes and didn't see a single fish. Maybe was fished out already

Were you there April 30th or was it May 7th? I think the stocking report says week of April 30, so they might have stocked it later in the week I am thinking.

Wedge is ice free. Saw no dead fish or carcasses.

The main portion of Mt. Lorette is completely devoid of fish activity. Either fished out or they're hanging in a big ball in one of the side pools.

It's the water temperature Mike, it probably won't warm up for another 1-3 weeks They should be good and active around then.

Ya I know I used to carry a thermometer with me but I gave up because after you drive for an hour and a half a spend the money on gas sticking the dam thermometer in the water is not fishing is not fun. The ice needs to be gone before it warms up. But without Bullshead I’m out of options for decent fish. Maybe got to try Whiteswan next weekend. Early for that lake too I guess.

Ya I was thinking about beaver or fiesta for Sunday. Haven’t fished them in a few years since they winter killed. Should be some good sized trout in there by now. I’ll let you know how I make out.

Interlakes was slow as can be yesterday. The ice was off the lake completely. I saw a couple risers by canyon though. Action was slow nonetheless.

Upper still had lots of ice. It was breaking up around the edges though so theres a good chance it will be off over the next week.

Anyone able to confirm if the launch at lower lake is good to use. Heading out this weekend would hate to waste the trip.

Thanks.

Both lakes are ice free. I think you could launch a boat at upper, it's pretty high.
