Default Buying reels in the u.s.

Has anyone went to the states and brought back a reel from cabelas or bass pro? I would imagine their prices would be lower but is it worth it? Would you save a lot more there then you would here?

Always have it sent by MAIL ! UPS and Fedex will cripple you with brokerage fees.

Agreed....USPS First Class Airmail is the ONLY way to go....far cheaper than courier, and none of the ridiculous brokerage fees (I have seen UPS charge as much as 40% of the value of the item...even on $200+ items).

Just ordered a SHimano Calcutta 400B from http://www.jandh.com and saved over $100 from what it would have cost if I bought it locally. This included a discount code I used: FB17000, and free shipping to a US mail box. Because I live close to the border I can pick it up and they usually don't charge me for any sales taxes when I bring it across.
