That's cool. You are only 10 minutes from where my brother lives in St. Albert, next time I'm up we'll be in for a visit for sure. Are you going to have a website too?

I will have a website up and going and i will let everyone know when the (not so) grand opening is!....

the goal is to have a nice comfortable place where people can come in and swap yarns and in general have fun... open concept....

In the end since i have all the equipment to work on my bows and arrows and now will have more room to work I plan to share! There will be a beverage fridge, coffepot, and a woodstove! this is the most important I think...

It will be in opening late in may or early June!...

Good lord, much of my misspent youth was wasted in the Edmonton archery lanes. Always somebody to yak with, always something new in stock, always somebody talking crap and getting egged by his fellows for his troubles. I was really sad when Edmonton archery closed its doors.

I hope you make a fortune Nekred, and wish you every success.

At the end of the day... I want to have people remember my shop like that... with memories of laughs and stories!...

I worked in an archery shop many years ago where we had a lot of fun and it was like a family!.... that welcomed new ones in all the time!....

Please let me know about the opening, I could maybe be convinced to make a day trip south for that!

I will keep eveyone informed and post pictures when it is ready.

We will have space to shoot outdoors but indoors this winter I will cover over the ara behind the shop with a metal building structure and use radiant heat. it will still have a dirt floor for now and be somewhat rough but functional.

I anticipate 20 yards this coming winter and extend to 30 for the next winter. They will be approx 16 feet wide... enough for 4 or 5 guys at atime anyway.

Thanks everyone for your interest....!

Stay tuned!...

When i was up north i used to work/hang around in an archery shop there it was a lot of fun... smack was thrown down and taken up....

Pot of coffe was always on and was a friendly atmosphere.....

I really missed that style of archery shop and decided to start one that is kind of like the "good ol days!...."

Thanks everyone and i will keep everyone posted on developments looking at opening doors in June!...

I think Edmonton Archery Lanes changed hands a couple of times Buckmaster. Back when I was a fixture making the place look untidy, I think it was Don Sargent that owned it. His partner in crime was Nicole, I never got her last name but she was a great lady. Damn, Don was a nice guy too. I saw some weapons grade ass-hattery go on in there and the man was unflappable and always smiled, he never lost his cool - when I or anyone else would have lost patience and committed mass murder!

I hope he is doing well today.
