Default Prime Fishing Near Edmonton

Hello everyone,

My friend and I usually make a trip out to Lac La Biche for Pike, and Yellow Perch, and have been very successful every time we go out. Definitely recommend the area.
We make the trip up from Edmonton, was just wondering if you guys had any other spots that you believe would be as successful as Lac La Biche but closer to Edmonton.

Its about a 2 1/2 hour drive, we are looking for a place that might be 2 hours or less.
We have a small standard boat, nothing special, we typically stay closer to the shore, about a km away.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Fickle Lake, just south west of Edson. It'd be about 2 and a half hours from Edmonton as well but it is well worth the trip. Prime time for northerns and walleye right now!

Thank you for the responses, any places that you can keep the Pike though, or another large fish?
