Default 248 coyote

I know it’s been asked before but the search feature on here hasn’t worked for me.

I have a friend who owns two quarter sections just south of edmonton between jagare ridge golf course and Castro’s raceway. He has been having issues with coyotes lately. Is it legal to varmint Hunt there with landowners permission? It’s south of city limits.

Looking st the regulations and the iHunter app with permission yes you can, why not call f&w to double check? As long as you are out of the current designated city limits, Calgary’s seems to be changing every couple years I’m sure Edmonton could be similar

North in portions of wmu 248 in Sturgeon County you can. Better to confirm your exact location with AEP.

I think the shotgun/muzzleloader boundary of 248 is south of hiway 19.

That is for big game. Coyotes are not. People get this mixed up all the time.

Skoal, as long as the property in question isn't covered by any county bylaws prohibiting firearm discharge, he or you can coyote hunt with a 50 BMG if he so chooses.

That is close to the airport. There might be special regs in that area of Leduc County. Good luck.

That is right south of my back yard. Yes there are plenty of coyotes out there I hear and see them regularly. I'm in city limits so can't do anything.

Love to help. If its good to go and want a hand give me a PM.

Thanks
