I went there for the first time last night as well. I was struggling trying to learn my new flyline while another guy beside me had lots of success. I will start another thread for help on my line, but which one were you? On the North end?

Darren, was that you and your buddy beside me near the aerator on the south end? I ended up landing 5 trout. You guys caught one too. It was a nice evening for sure.

What are you guys using? Does this place get hammered like beaumont or is fishing pressure lighter?

I was a loner fishing on the side with a green back pack fly vest. Those were the two young guys that went back and forth. I wasnt sure if that was you in this thread or the two guys by the aerator one of you had a black shirt ( I guess that is the south end and not north). It was very nice evening.

I didnt have a great night. First time out there and first time trying a brand new fly line. I struggled all night casting into my back or splashing the water. Managed a few bites off the ones I didnt scare off but that was it. Could be worse I could of been at work. If I head out to Ft. Sask again and see ya I'll say hi.

Thumbs up Pond Fishin

Last night Axeman slayed more rainbows. We had alot of fun fishin near the aerator. Those fish are a nice size for being a year old. The bait he uses drives the trout crazy and bite the hook lookin for another free meal.

I am glad you caught one. You are putting in some positive effort trying to catch them. Next time we are there come by to see us and will show you how to get those sometimes fussy rainbows.

Thanks. I just love fishing and being able to relax outdoors. Catching a fish is just a reward

Next time you are down there send me a PM and we'll meet up. It just takes some patience and where to fish for them. Oh, and the right bait

Default salamander things

I guess they were introduced to the pond to clear up the mud because it used to be a gravel pit. Just something i heard, who knows if its true.

It's pretty weedy on the whole east side. The bottom is slowly filling in with weeds too, not as sandy. The south side is my favorite.

PM's will not automatically show up in the sent folder....you are allowed 100 messages TOTAL. There is however a check box when you are composing a message to check if you want to save a copy of your PM sent to another member in your sent folder.

I'm just curious if it's a hard bottom or super soft. Wade-able or not?

Thanks,
Doc

Default Monday 3 PM Report

Tried various setups, no luck. Seems weedy near the aerator - is the rest of the pond like this?

Tried a spinner with chartreuse marshmallow bait and a few gulp worms. Tried a pickerel rig with some orange trout bait on some good hooks, but no luck either.

Any hints?

That kinsmen have done a nice job with that building... any idea when the washrooms are unlocked? 8)
