RatFink,

They definitely swing a bit, but I guess you'll have to try it to really see what I'm talking about. Shrapnel from the AR500 targets is far less significant and dangerous than from mild steel, IME.

One time I hung an AR500 target in a tree, and I was a little surprised to see shrapnel bite in the tree branches all around the circumference of the plate, from where the bullets splattered and the bits went flying radially. If you hang the plate with bailing twine or string, your target will fall to the ground at every shot before the shrapnel bits cut through the twine every time. We're talking about tiny little bits of shrapnel, maybe the size of the head of a pin.

Guys,

The Group Buy will run for 3 more days, and then the final order will be placed based on deposits received.

Thanks for the explanation! I've been watching videos on youtube of guys shooting these targets in relative safety but I wanted to see what your guys' experience was in real life.

I'm in talks with some friends to see if they want to get in with me on a target or two.

Bump.

To the folks who PM'd me about picking up targets I will piggy back communication onto this thread who needs me to pick up the targets and also with Jordan's help (he will say yay or nay) I will only be transporting targets that are Paid in full at the time I do the pickup.

I am offering this transport service only between Calgary and Edmonton and will do drop off in 2 locations...WSS parking lot and Cabelas parking lot. Only catch is the pick up will have to coincide with one of my business trips....hopefully I won't have to make people wait too long!

If anyone else needs me to pick up their steel please reply to this thread only....I have to go through my PM box as it is almost full

Oh and I do not want nor expect any payment.

LC

Thanks, Lefty. That's a mighty generous offer for our Edmonton boys (and girls).

The GB will end tomorrow at 11:59pm, everyone. All orders and deposits need to be in by then.

I'd like to take advantage of your generous offer LC. I ordered 1 of the 12" circles and I live in St. Albert, I'd be happy tp meet at either WSS or Cabelas. Thanks to Jordan and LC for taking this on!
