I punched a whole bunch of holes in the rings about 6-8" deep and dumped a 5 gal pail of sunlight/water mixture on each one and soaked it everyday really good. Seems like I'm getting the odd mushroom popping up when it hot and humid out but nothing like before. Hard to say if it's killing it off but I think I'm going to dump some more solution on it and fertilize it like others have said. But, after last weeks rain and such after the last 2 hot and humid days I checked this afternoon and didn't notice any mushrooms anywhere.

Default The easiest way to get rid of fairy rings

I had a fairy ring in my front yard. It was there when we bought the house.
Did not think much about it till after we moved in. We tried several way of getting rid of it . Fertilizer and watering , dish soap, etc etc... Did not want to did it up and replace lawn. So we tried different thing over 4-5 years. Then one day we were talking to a distant relitives that was in the landscape business for a long time and asked them if they know how to get rid of fairy ring..

Their reply was a very simple one . All you need to get rid of it is probable in your kitchen cupboard. Take ground cininmon and pour it on the infected area.
We try everything else so we tried this. We cover those mushrooms with cininmin and to our surprise about 2 weeks later you could see the mushrooms were snivelling up and a month or so later the were gone. Then the grass started to grow back. No digging or hard labour needed. We now have had a beautiful lawn for 7 years and no fairy ring...

Some of the most delicious mushrooms you will ever eat will grow from that ring!

This worked on my wife's house before we got married. Place as many holes as you can throughout the ring. Mix water, 1 cup dish washing soap and 1/2 cup Dormant oil(can be purchased at hardware store) in a 5 gallon pail and apply.
