Default Taxidermist?

Who does everybody use for a taxidermist? If I get a buck I'd like to get the skull cleaned for a european mount. Whats a reasonable price for this type of work?

Most guys do Europeans themselves. However I didn't want to deal with my moose head last year so I tried Alberta skulls in Lacombe. Grant beetle cleaned, degreased and whitened the skull for a very reasonable rate and time frame.

He is a good guy to deal with. If you aren't wanting to do the job yourself, I have no problem recommending him.

I should say though, deer are pretty easy to do. You can do them a few different ways each have their + and -.

Shane Laye with Rangeline Taxidermy does a great job. I don't know what he charges for European mounts though

I thought the same but after reading the "how to" threads here, I did it myself. Turned out real good. Just time and elbow grease. I will do all my nice racks this way from now on.
