Default Wondering if anyone has ever swapped seats out of a ram 2500?

I would love to buy a dodge diesel but my wife hates the seats in their trucks. I have a ford right now she loves the seats. wondering if anyone has any ideas.
thanks

Either buy another Ford or get a new wife.

And no I'm not kidding

I dont think its possible.
You would need someone to custom make you a bracket to be able to install anything other than that brand. Im not sure it would even be legal. There would be huge legalities involved. I bet it would cost a small fortune to get it to pass safety. Plus, seatbelts run trough and are designed for a specific seat. Im a body tech. I think it could be made quite easily, but getting it certified.....???

I would think there are aftermarket seats available.
Probably ridiculously expensive though.
And as mentioned, probably a liability and warranty issue also.

Oreo cookie mod...eat a bag of Oreos (wife too) every night before bed and in about a month or so they should plush and comfortable!

On a more serious note, CARiD has a bunch of different seat covers for dodges that may work for you. Maybe check with some local upholstery guys and see if they can help you out?

Not as simple as changing the seats and brackets themselves but the power connections for power seat adjustment, heated seats, in seat airbag power connections and their ability to communicate and interact to a different vehicles computer system to activate them, seat belt warning system, etc.

Buy the Dodge and install the aftermarket 4 point seatbelt.

Have the factory seats recushioned and shaped. There is a great guy in Spruce Grove, H&E Upholstery, right beside the archery shop. I have seen his work in a number of cars and it looks great. Kirk has been doing it 35 years. He will be able to make you seats you like for a lot less than try to fit Ford seats in a Dodge.
