Cow called a big 6x6 in on Saturday. You need to be out early as it's all over a few minutes after legal light. Actually heard a fair number of bulls bugling, but mostly in the dark. They are still rutting but just being quiet during the heat of the day.

Had a great morning yesterday. Called in 4 different bulls in a 45 min span. One 4 x 5 darn near ran us over. Stopped at quite literally 6 feet. Just not the bull we wanted. Another gave a 40 yard shot but again not the big bull. Could have had a long day of packing. Three of the four were vocal.

Hearing lots of bugling but as others have said it is early morning only. Had a good bull responding to our call Saturday at 10:30am. We took after him but within minutes he was silent. Didn't hear from him again.

I was out all of the past week and I never heard a full out bugle. There was alot of grunting and whining going on though.
